giddyup!

This inaugural announcement post – giddyup! – is to celebrate that my website is live, the proverbial ink is drying on a smattering of blog posts, and the first newsletter is taking shape. Launching this more formalized place to share my writing is a milestone for me and I am both nervous and excited to hear what you think. I would like to express my gratitude to all who have supported my writing thus far by reading, sharing and (best of all) giving me your feedback. It means a great deal to know that somewhere on the other side of this keyboard there is an audience. You know who you are. Thank you.

Special thanks to my daughter, Alison, for being the first and “safe eyes” on several of the pieces I’ve written, and for creating many incredible illustrations to accompany their publication. Seeing your art interpret and connect with my words is such a thrill.

Heartfelt thanks also go to Claire Campbell for the design of this site and for so effortlessly finding a visual expression of me that feels like home.
